ABOUT ME

I think it is very important to be respectful of others, and I think we are here to help one another, so these are things that are important to me. I also feel that being responsible, caring, compassionate and being trustworthy, a person of integrity, is essential to being human. And so these are things I aspire to be. In general, I'd say that I am also an easygoing, friendly and polite person. I am clean, neat, a non-smoker and non-drinker, maybe the occasional red wine with dinner. I enjoy art galleries, museums and beautiful architecture but also the beauty and wonder of nature. I also appreciate good food, interesting conversations and a great sense of humour!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is possible. Life is a gift, a point of view, an opportunity to claim our power. I believe that in changing ourselves, we change the world. Life is full of possibility, of choice, of magic - if we are open to it!

My interests include the arts (fine art, film, crafts, etc.), as I am an artist and writer and craftsperson. I also enjoy the outdoors and cooking and languages and dance and laughing and learning new things and creating new things and meeting new people.

Favourite Poets: Rumi (old translations), Rainer Maria Rilke, TS Eliot.

Favourite Artists: Cezanne, Leonardo da Vinci.

Favourite Philosopher: Nietzsche.

Favourite Dessert Cookbook Author: Nigella Lawson

Favourite Teaching Stories: Anything by Idries Shah. He is the one source of ancient wisdom which I have found that I trust because it is just common sense.

Favourite Book Topics: Non-fiction mostly like psychology, time-space theory, dream theory, etc.

Favourite Composer: Beethoven, and the Beatles.

MOVIES: I love movies. I like everything from auteur films (like Bergman's "The Seventh Seal" and Kurosawa's "Dersu Uzala") to action movies (Bourne, James Bond, Die Hard) to sci-fi (Star Wars, The Matrix) to comic book (The Dark Knight, Spiderman, Xmen) to old classics (Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, Fred Astaire) to comedy, romance, animation, you name it. I love "stories" and would love to write for film myself.

One amazing thing in my life for which I am especially grateful is dreaming! I have had such fascinating and insightful dreams and they are constantly teaching me things - like the importance of being open, flexible, positive and aware.
