About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet people, make friends and share recipes and food!

ABOUT ME

I live in Evergreen CO. not Erie.

I am an adventurous soul who likes the more unconventional slices of life .

PHILOSOPHY

Some of the People and Prophets that have influenced my life are: My Grandmother, Carlos Santana, Paramahansa Yogananda, my two Sons and Shanti Shanti (music group).

I consider myself to be just slightly left of center, you know, have a balance, some common sense and still be compassionate.

I reduce, recycle, reuse and am an avid gardener. Not much beats being outdoors.

Interests

Cooking, Camping, Hiking, Mt. Biking, Gardening, Conversation, Reading, Exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books are: "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert, "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, the "Bhagavad Gita", "Instructions to the Cook" (A Zen Master's Lessons in Living a Life that Matters) by Bernard Glassman and Rick Fields and most anything by Pema Chodron. I just started a book called "The Age of Shiva" by Manil Suri. “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle. Oh yea, and lots of cookbooks too!

I like most kinds of music except heavy country, hard core metal and opera (although Sarah Brightman and Maureen O'Flynn are awesome). Santana, Genesis, Joe Satriani, Chick Corea, Prem Joshua, Shanti Shanti and Jai Uttal are among my favorites as well as classic rock and alternative/inde music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to Todos Santos, Baja and experienced much of the unique side of Mexico. The food there is awesome! Nothing like it here in Colorado. I can make a pretty mean Baja Fish Taco and learned to make authentic Mole' from a lady that didn't speak a word of English.
