About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To laugh like there is no tomorrow, to dance like nobody is watching, and to love like I've never been hurt

ABOUT ME

I am an easy-going person with a quirky sense of humor. My first international experience came when I was an exchange student in Russia. On my first day in Russia, the world became a much smaller place. Some 12 years later, I still enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and seeing and doing new things. while most of my time has been spent in Asia, I am extending my travels to see the beauty offered by Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

I am not a religious person, but I think the Wiccans hit the nail on the head when they said "Do what you will, as long as it hurts nobody". I would personally add to that by saying I believe people should leave something in better shape than in the shape they found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am really quite new to this, so I am not currently participating in a CS2 project. Most likely in the weeks to come, that will change.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a shameless rookie at this. Hopefully, I will have a story or two to tell when I come back from Italy this summer.

Interests

I am interested in travel, meeting new people, doing new things and exploring new places. When I am not doing such things, I like to read books and go to the movies. I am more into a slow-paced way of doing things, but will go to a night club if given the proper motivation

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Lifelong Billy Joel fan, but I have been known to enjoy a wide variety of tunes, from Japanese artists like Spitz and Morning Musume, to the Euro sounds of artists like Alizee. I am not picky when it comes to music, and will listen to just about anything.

Books - I am into fiction that imitates life. Right now, I am into reading Michael Crichton books. Currently, I am reading his book "Next".

Movies - too many to list here. I guess my favorite movie is "Shawshank Redemption".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That is a tough call. Its a tie between watching the sunrise on Diamondhead in Hawaii, and scuba diving at Champon Pinacle in Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, American history is my forte, but that is rather boring. I can show you two different ways to open a beer bottle without using an opener. For those wanting something more, I can show/tell/teach you how to cook some great Tex-mex (an offshoot of Mexican) food.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, France, Netherlands, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, Russian Federation, South Korea, United States
