Overview
About Me
You can call me Tsen or Yun since I know it's not that easy to pronounce my name for non-Mandarin speakers. (Fun fact: even Mandarin natives pronounce my name wrong most of the time lol.)
I'm a Taiwanese who is currently staying in Munich, Germany. 🇩🇪 I have received so much from the CS community and I think it's time for me to give back.
***I feel sad seeing many girls on couchsurfing have to state this: Please DON'T use couchsurfing as a dating app. I'm not here for dating. I'm here for experiencing the life of the locals, sharing cultural stuff and perspectives, and making friends from all over the world. Please understand.
***I'm from TAIWAN 🇹🇼, an island in East Asia, famous for semiconductor (TSMC) and bubble tea. I'm NOT from Thailand, China, or Vietnam. :)
🔤 About languages:
In Taiwan, the majority of us speak Mandarin, and we write in Traditional Mandarin. Most old people speak Taiwanese, which is very close to Hokkien, a language in China. But there are still Hakka, and many Aboriginal languages are used in Taiwan. Welcome to ask me and talk about it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Want to explore deeply into the culture, not just travel to the attractions. Want to make new friends and exchange thoughts and experiences. Want to experience a city in a view of a local and a foreigner.
From my previous traveling experience, the most memorable moments during my journey are those times I spent with strangers on the way. So, I am here to create more chances to meet other interesting souls.

If you're interested in languages, I can also explain how Chinese/Mandarin words are made, developed, the meaning behind the words, and how we type Mandarin. I can also explain the difference between Taiwanese and Mandarin, and how they are used in Taiwan. Almost all the non-Mandarin speakers I met found it super interesting, I guess you'll like it as well!
