ABOUT ME

I am a 24 year-old recent college graduate living near St. Louis, Missouri. I am currently looking for full-time employment as a middle/high school band director. In the meantime, I am an active substitute teacher for school districts around the greater St. Louis area. I still find time to play. I play trombone for churches, weddings, festivals, and a band named Where's Charlie (check us out on MySpace). I recently co-wrote the score and played piano on the soundtrack for the movie Corpus (check it out on IMDB.com). Music and teaching are my passions and the majority of my time is spent pursuing these ventures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I have spent the past 7 years pursuing academic goals and was unable to travel. Before diving completely into the working world, I would like to spend some time traveling. A close friend of mine, Courtney Moran, is a member, recommended it to me, and so I have joined.

Both my parents are teachers as well. When I was in 2nd grade, my mother accepted a one year position at the University of Hawaii. We lived there for one year before returning to Missouri. We spent Christmas at the beach...pretty cool.
