I make wine in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in California. I seek out local food, wine and beer, and culture and history, wherever I go. I enjoy getting outdoors, be it hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking or even just going for a walk. I have a passion for disc golf and I'm kind of a board game geek. I like to go exploring and combine my passions and curiosities. Design, from ordinary objects to typography to architecture to spaces, fascinates me.

Paid accommodations are expensive, as well as being somewhat boring and sterile. The wine business involves a great lifestyle, but not a lot of money...and poetry pays even less. I'd much rather camp or couch surf and have a little more money to spend on experiences, not to mention having something in common with the people I end up sharing a roof with. It seems a much more natural way to travel.
