About Me

ABOUT ME

I am just finishing up my masters in critical cultural geography! My last two years has been spent investigating the impacts of public art activism on urban change in Vancouver's downtown eastside neighbourhood. What an amazing project! I am hitting the road to live in Vancouver for July to finish up my research project. I am from Hamilton but I've spent many lovely years in Guelph and now I have recently fallen in love with the West Coast.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything you ever wanted is right outside your comfort zone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've spent an entire summer in Europe and Morocco, hopping from one couch to the next when we weren't working on organic farms wwoofing. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I have met through my adventures and the many brilliant humans I've met through couchsurfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've lived in remote places that don't attract a lot of surfers so my couch has not had the pleasure of hosting a tired travelling soul. I've had the best of luck with couch surfing. I've found an apartment in Northern Quebec while I worked in Urban Forest conservation and studied french. I've met rock climbers through couch surfing that help me explore the local hot spots. I do caution those who couch surf in Morocco, a friend and I had some very interesting experiences surfing there. Ask me about it, it's a funny story actually.
