ABOUT ME

I'm 25-year old girl from Finland and I'm currently traveling until July 2012.

As a person I'm a bit shy at start when meeting new people and I like to listen other people rather than talk about myself. With friends I'm of course relaxed and more talkative. I reckon one of the greatest moments in life is when you randomly meet people with matching sense of humour and similar way of thinking no matter how different your backgrounds seem to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still a beginner in CouchSurfing even though I have registered as a member couple of years ago. I haven't hosted anyone yet and I have not been anyones guest yet.

I hope that I'll have many great CouchSurfing experiences still coming :)

Interests

Do you know these persons who get easily excited about new things and likes to try almost everything at least once? I consider myself as one of them. ((Except for eating insects or doing completely idiot stuff))

I love nature and doing outdoor activities and I enjoy almost all kinds of sports: scuba diving, swimming, biking, rock climbing, hiking, fishing, camping, motor sports... Cricket is an exception, but only because I don't know the rules :D.
Besides being active I like watching movies, reading a book, playing chess and listening to music or having a drink with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies. Too many to mention. I was working in a video rental store while studying and in that time I learned the great skill of watching movies.

Books. I'm reading mostly non fiction, true crime... Not very keen fan of "boy meets a girl" -stories. My personal favourite is Papillon by Henri Charriere.

Music. The Used is my favourite band. However I tend to like individual songs rather than bands or genres and I listen to a lot of different stuff depending on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's been pretty good ride so far... Maybe skydiving from 3500m could be the wildest thing I've done. Sometimes during my travels I've got a feeling that life can't get any better than this and then something even more amazing happens, for example swimming with the whale sharks was like magic!

Teach, Learn, Share

My willing to learn list is never ending! Recently added: learn how to sail and how to play saxophone. I also want to try spear fishing.
