About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world and learn as much as possible

ABOUT ME

I love opera, symphonic, and chamber music! I used to work as an engineer, but put the math on pause to pursue my passion for music. I enjoyed 7 years as a full-time musician, first as a freelance tuba player in Boston, working with ensembles such as the Boston Pops and Boston Ballet, as well as the Hot Tamales Band at Fenway Park. I most recently performed 3 seasons at the China National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing. I have now come back to the U.S. (San Diego), where I've revived my mathematics brain, working as a catastrophe analyst for earthquake insurance. It's great work, and Southern California is fantastic! Sometimes I like to swim and go weightlifting in my free time, but my favorite hobby is tasting and brewing different types of beer.
