About Me

Travelling student from the University of Illinois. I have also studied in Vienna, Austria at the Technical University of Vienna, and the Business University of Vienna.

When I graduate in May I will be seeking a position in the Rocket propulsion industry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite part of visiting new places is the interaction with locals and the true culture of a city. Couchsurfing is a really cool way to do that, and makes it really easy to find people who are interested in talking to you and maybe even showing you around.

Unfortunately I'm unable to offer my home currently on Couchsharing, because I live with my parents. However, I'm looking forward to offering my home in the future when I have my own place!

Interests

Many, and Varied.
I enjoy creating and viewing art.
I've played the guitar before but I'm very out of practice. I love to listen to many types of music and can get into most things.
I'm a fan of outdoor activity - biking, hiking, jogging, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Most types. Pop, Rock, Classical, Folk, Acoustic - I listen to a wide variety.
Movies: Easily entertained. I like the good "thinkers" (e.g. Memento, D. Darko, 6th sense) just as much as the stupid comedies (Airplane, Robin Hood: Men in Tights). Fan of the Disney classics, and I try to watch a healthy portion of the Oscar list each year.
Books: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Fiction, classics. I occasionally read the more prosaic Non-Fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've completed several sprint-distance Triathlons, the most recent of which I placed in my age group.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always interested in learning to cook local foods, or a few bits of vocabulary in the local language.
I'm a pretty competent German speaker, so I'd be happy to converse in German as well.
I make pretty decent cocktails and always look forward to sharing a beer or a drink as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, knowledge. My "Travelling trick" is that I know how to play the spoons, although I'm not very good at it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, United States
