CURRENT MISSION
Experience everything.
ABOUT ME
Andie and I just moved to Seattle, WA to experience a different part of the country and see how it goes.
Tucker: I am of a kind, gentle natured post-college folk. I don't take others' generosity for granted, and enjoy meeting new people. I am a critical cultural relativist, optimist with a dash of cynicism, dry sense of humor, patient and mild tempered. Institutionalized at the University of Florida with a mild bout of Anthropology. I Currently work in the hospitality industry. I love art, bicycles, science, and everything.
Andie: I recently extricated myself from the collegiate atmosphere with a degree in Art History, and am making art out of life. I love music probably more than the average person, and I value life experience as the ultimate teacher. I am shamelessly addicted to coffee, reading, and spontaneous dance parties. I want to see as many places as I can while I'm young and reckless enough to travel without many obligations, and I love meeting new and interesting people.
PHILOSOPHY
Live simply so that others may simply live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will be the best damn person I can be, and when I discover shortcomings in myself I will not be unrepentant for them as I aspire to better myself. Somehow I think this applies to this website.
I will also spread sunshine, laughter, and puppies (at least thoughts about puppies, since we aren't actually hosting puppies in our tiny car. but really, who doesn't love puppies?).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have only surfed, but once we settle in a more permanent location are very excited to host. Our surfing experience is somewhat limited, but has been a positive adventure.
Tucker: Also some homestays in Nicaragua that were organized through an NGO I was volunteering for.
Interests
cultural exploration, art, gardening, bicycles, sustainable living, foraging, pushing comfort boundaries.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies that make me feel, music that makes me dance, and books that make me think. Details later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Brushed my teeth on the top of a volcanic mountain in Nicaragua while watching the sunset through the clouds over the forested mountains.
Teach, Learn, Share
Tucker: I love bikes in a way that might possibly be illegal in some of the redder states. If you want to learn little fix-it tricks I am the man with the wrench set you should ask. If you know something about gardening, beer-brewing, slow food, or computers I'll be all ears. I love music, but am instrumentally challenged. Play something new for me and I will get excited about it.
Andie: I believe that everyone should do everything they want to, or think they might want to, right now. I think happiness is under-rated and achievable; you just have to be willing to take some risks. We are two of the least judgmental people to take to the road, and we mostly just want to hear your stories and tell you ours. I love learning about things I have never been exposed to or know very little about, and I will totally attempt to jam with you if you're musically inclined.
