ABOUT ME

Recently retired from the military, tired of the grind of a 9 to 5 life, I'm looking to travel the US and Mexico,eventually the world.

I'm very open and talkative, especially about new ideas and concepts. I can be pragmatic if the situation calls for it, but I much prefer to be able to express myself and enjoy whats going on around me.

PHILOSOPHY

At this point, I live because I am alive and I enjoy it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Glad to lend a couch, shower and washer/dryer to anyone traveling, as well as a tour of the town I live in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crashed on friend's couches locally when times were hard before. And the occasional after pub homestay when I was out of town.

I tend to sci fi and fantasy books although crime novels and thrillers do interest me from time to time. I also enjoy reading about history. For a long time I had a huge fascination with Mongolian history. Now, pretty much anything I don't know, I want to know.

I know a lot about computers, networking, hardware and software. I've worked in telecommunications as well so I have a firm grasp of how the world's communication networks are laid out.

In addition to that, I spent 4 years as a soldier, so I have seen some interesting things.
