I have wanted to try Couchsurfing for a long time because it provides a way to meet local people in new places, giving me a totally different perspective while travelling.

In the future, I would also like to give this opportunity to someone visiting my hometown.

Some of my fondest memories are from taking a ship from Portugal, across the Atlantic Ocean, all the way to Brazil. This was all part of a student project called Aalto on Waves.
