CURRENT MISSION

I'm on a mission to travel across the world. I'm taking my time and doing some other things as well. Really, I'm taking my time.

ABOUT ME

Ok. My name is Tuomas and I was born in 1986. That makes me 22 years old by the time I'm writing this. When I was a kid I used to play football and ride my skate- and snowboards. All the time I had some pots and pans that I used to pound. I wondered how would it feel to play real drums, and one day I bought them to figure it out. Since that, It's been my main occupation.
With most of my time being seated behind the drums I try to get the most out of my other hobbies and daily routines. One thing I like the most is the really flexible schedule I have during the week. It might be the extra 15 minutes that I can stay in bed in the morning or the occasional free day that I didn't see coming. I love spending time with my friends and family. The TV nor the internet are not the ways for me to spend time. Instead, reading and listening to music and radio works for me. I really appreciate the change of seasons. The winter should be cold and the summer should be warm and sunny. The spring should bring you alive and the fall should make you want to crawl in to your bed.

PHILOSOPHY

I find being here as a continuous quest to find all the great little things my existence is based on. You know, just to see a squirrel in a tree makes me feel really good and peaceful.

I'm generally interested in people and everything that's surrounding them. Whether it's art in any form of philosophy, I'm in!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music a lot, especially jazz and rock. Real instruments being played by real people is the thing for me, though machines work pretty well also.
David Lynch's work I like to watch on screen and Jack Kerouac, Charles Bukowski and other beatnicks are the ones on the pages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Kirkenes, Norway, and the temperature was something close to -35. It was around midnight and there was a reggae-trio playing inside one shop's display window and people were dancing outside on the tables! That was one scene I hardly forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can probably teach you is something about music or playing drums. If we find sticks or brushes, I'll show you some moves.
What I'd like to learn is languages. Every one of them and everything about them.
