My name is Eric. I am reasonably responsible and considerate, but I love to have fun, get into trouble and make every day count.

PHILOSOPHY

We were not created merely to exist, but to live. I believe in not longing for more, but enjoying what you have to its fullest.

To judge all things in the most negative light, then in the most positive and to find truth somewhere in between. Never to side with either extreme.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a couple of times and given a couple of tours of little-known treasures in NYC, unfortunately none of them left me feedback. I have also stayed with some fantastic people and used the meet-up option in the app. I hope to attend an event some time in the not-so-distant future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had mostly positive experiences, although I have certainly had some less than positive ones. I am a but hesitant after some of the more recent negative experiences, unfortunately.

Interests

Fitness, food, music, writing and reading.

I love getting out and seeing new things.

Music: Rock and roll, classical, opera, metal.
Movies: Comedy, drama, action.
Books: Mainly historical novels and non-fiction

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach music (mainly guitar), carving, finer points of English, Latin, exercise, philosophy and nutrition. I would like to learn more about art.

Conversation, manners, idioms and random useful facts. I don't have much to give, but I tend to share whatever I have.
