Find my place and meet a lot of people in the process.
I am a graphic designer that is currently living in Washington DC. I have lived all over the country and met a lot of interesting people on trains, in hostels, and just living life. I really like to meet new people and learn about them and hear about where they come from and what they are passionate about.
I live in DC right now, but I have lived in Boston, Rockland, Eugene, Rochester, Berkeley, and Denver. I grew up in Virginia but I spent a lot of my life in New England. I love to go for walks and going to lectures and storytelling events. I listen to podcasts, visit museums on free days, and I read a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have met a few people for coffee and I have gone to a couple of couch surfing events. I have lived in a co-op and a hostel, and so I have met a lot of people that are really involved in the couch surfing community, but I have not lived anywhere yet where I was able to host.
I have surfed once and it was a great experience and it was very cool getting to know the town through a local's eyes. I really want to do it again!
Reading, exploring, car rides, drawing and writing, long drives and train rides. Museums, animation, film and media, doodling, graphic design, podcasts, meeting new people, trying new things (this year I tried meditation and yoga for the first time) last year I learned how to bake bread, and naan, though the naan doesn't usually come out as nicely as the ones I buy on Devon street!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A woman completely unaware of couchsurfing invited me to stay in her home for two days when I had nowhere to stay in San Antonio, she was my waitress at Denny's and a wonderful woman. She drove me to the train station at 4am on the third day.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can pronounce "Tralfamadorian"
One thing I want to learn before the end of civilization is how to look at the stars to tell where I'm going. -CP
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share enthusiasm for the things that they have to share. When the people around me are excited about something, I am excited about it also.
