Hello! My legal name is Calvin but everyone calls me Turtle! I am 24 and from Michigan! I am on a three month journey around Europe, going wherever the wind takes me. I spent some time on a farm in Italy, now I’m heading up toward Finland to meet some friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have the money to use only hostels while I’m traveling here but I would like to give Couchsurfing a try! Seems like a good way to get a better/deeper connection with people :)

Interests

I enjoy being outdoors in all seasons! Hiking, wandering the streets, or even just sitting and soaking in fresh air!

I enjoy history of the places I’m walking in, so I like walking tours and documentaries and such.

I have most recently read Tomislav Perkos "1000 Days of Spring". Now I’m focused on audiobooks while on the train, listing to “1984” by George Orwell currently!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at a youth camp for three consecutive summers without pulling out all my hair!! Just kidding, I had a wonderful time and I’m so grateful I’ve had the opportunity to make an impact on the kids.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’ve learned a really nice traditional carbonara dish while in Italy, Id definitely be willing to cook for/with you!
