About Me

CURRENT MISSION

GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE!!!! Also, want to make some new friends, and cook some yummy food for folks stayin on my couch. Also, always on the look-out for new brewery tour buddies.

ABOUT ME

Well, I am 27 years old. I live all alone for the first time in my life. I love Colorado, camping, fly fishing, reading, playing World of Warcraft, my computer, drinking beer, playing pool, playing board games, watching movies, and playing with my big, furry, duffy, friendly, lovable dog, Kenai. Some people might say I am a little conservative (in personality, not politics), but it is a front. I am actually a total weirdo (in a good way)! I have recently taken up oil pastel drawing, and love arts and crafts, especially if it involves glue. I don't really do drugs, though I have, a lot, but I am non-judgemental. My poison at the moment is booze, esp. beer and Jager. I don't believe in equality, but I do believe in equal opportunity; I am non-judgemental and always give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I am always on the look-out for new friends, esp. ones from distant places who are willing to share their stories. I wear my heart on my sleeve and am honest to a fault. I will answer any question asked of me. I have very few regrets in this life so far, and view everything as a learning experience.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live. keep your rosaries off my ovaries. Always help a friend in need. presents are good (giving and getting, but esp. giving). Family is the most important thing in this world, and you get to choose your family. Self-sacrifice can be good and helpful, or destructive and enabling - do it anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I have not participated so far, but my friend who has told me it was a great experience. I love to travel, but have a hard time meeting people when I do. I think travel is the greatest thing ever, and would love to make someone else's experience a little more interesting. I am willing to offer up my couch, show you the sites, drive you around, take you camping/hiking if it interests you. And cook you a yummy dinner (or take you to the best restaraunts around).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in Costa Rica, England, and Prague, though all of them were through friends/family of a friend. I did let a wonderful English boy stay on my couch for about a week, he was a previous travel buddy. We had a great time. My couch is also always open to friends and family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many movies to name them all but here a re a few: The Princes Bride, Lord of the Rings, The World's Fastest Indian, Whale Rider, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Breakfast Club, Fight Club, anything with Ed Norton. Music: Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, bluegrass, newgrass, Tool, Dropkick Murphys, NO/FX, classical, show tunes, classic rock, chick bands (a few), Van Morrison, and on and on. Books: On the Road, anything by Peter S. Beagle, Lord of the Rings, anything by Kurt Vonnegut, Renaissance drama, Carlos Castaneda, coffee table art books, books about apes, whales, animals, 'nature writing'.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh lots. Everywhere I have been has been amazing. I have been sky diving and bungee jumping. The Sistine Chapel was pretty amazing. I spent a semester in England, though it had its ups and downs, it was a fantastic experience over-all.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a tough question. What I would really like to learn is how to be a bit more outgoing. I want to learn first-hand experiences about other cultures. I am not sure what I can teach, but I bet there is something...I can share lots of stories, though my story telling skills could use a brush up.
