ABOUT ME

Just moved to Lille with my german girlfriend, to start a new job. After being Snowboardteacher in Austria, we had to go back to real life!

Just finished my studies to work in banking, but as it is not the best periode to start in banking now, I decided to travel untill I found a place where I want to settle. Meanwhile I am learning the languages of the countries I am travelling through. I love the beach, recently started surfing, as well as playing guitar!

I am an easy going person, just want to enjoy my time on this planet and travelling is to me the best thing to do!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first couch surfing experience in Buenos Aires, and that was awesome, I can't imagine travelling without it! It is the best way to meet great people and discover the best places in a city!

Interests

I especially like learning about other cultures and their population. So traveling is my main interest, the people I get to know during my trips, and the opportunities of seeing them again in different contexts.

I also like riding sport, eg. Snowboard, roller skating, surf. Such a good feeling to ride, slide into the air!

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently the best book I would advice is Liar’s poker, a good way of understanding the current crise, and how it started. No need of having a great knowledge of the banking sector, and it is written in an funny way!

The film who inspired to travel is “Into the wild”. There are probably a lot of ways to understand this movie, some sad and some full of joy! But when I saw this movie, it just made sense to me that I had to go far and explore what I don’t know.

Concerning my musical taste, I love a lot of different sorts. And I just said before I am starting to play guitar and I really appreciate the presence of instruments at a party with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the Netherlands the tradition is to swim in the north sea at 12 am on the January 1st . So I have done that a couple of times, and it is good fun, but a bit freezing after a night of party!

Teach, Learn, Share

Except my language skills, I also cooking skills, French cooking! I also can cook some Dutch meals, but it isn’t as good as the French cuisine!

Once again I just started playing the guitar and I would love to know more and hopefully in a few years I will be able to teach myself!

I am quite a handy person, I can fix a lot of think at home, and did a lot of work with my dad, as he is an architect, to build houses, sheds, fences… especially now with the internet it is easy to enhance your skills!
