Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finish my masters studies, learn a couple languages, and travel some while still in Europe
ABOUT ME
Friendly, very open-minded guy, seeking to become better acquainted with other cultures, ideas and languages. I was bored with my job and life here in the US, so I sought to find ways to expand my horizons by simply meeting new people who are well-traveled and curious about the world. Besides aspiring to travel much more and couch-surf, I hope to finish my masters degree in Germany by the end of 2014. I look forward to working again and becoming a host again!
PHILOSOPHY
I value life-long learning, and honest communication. I value taking risks in order to broaden horizons. I am striving to break out of a self-imposed bubble that has confined me to a safe life up until now. I thrive on change and diversity. Update: I broke out of that bubble. Big time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was able to host a few people last summer when I first joined couch-surfing. Then when I started to travel in South America, I was able to surf. It made my visits to each town much more interesting than if I had just stayed at hostels. I made great new friends and had much more contact with the cultures because of couch-surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been almost all very positive experiences. I have now a collection of friends all over the world. It's truly amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba-diving in the Blue Hole off Belize, swimming around stalactites at 120ft below with reef sharks down there was pretty creepy and fun! Climbed to the base of the Fitz Roy in Patagonia.
And BURNING MAN 2009!!! Wow.
