About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to revive the art of alchemy
ABOUT ME
I just graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas with a civil engineering degree. I'm about to start working in July, and decided to spend a month in Australia before I'm tied down. I'm pretty quite and laid back. I prefer a chill bar atmosphere to that of a crowded club. In my free time I play a lot of disc golf, run, cycle, and read.
PHILOSOPHY
Do things that are worthwhile, and do them well. Work hard, and do your best, but leave time to have some fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined, and hope to meet new friends, get local tips, and find cheap places to stay when I travel. I'd also like to meet some cool people that may be traveling near my home (although I doubt many people travel to Houston).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Once a randomly met a guy from Germany at the airport who was going to a rodeo in Houston. I offered him a ride and invited him out to a school BBQ party. We had some good chats.
Interests
Camping, Cycling, Running (I ran Steeple Chase at my university) reading. While traveling I really like going to parks. Museums are fun in limited doses. I also like music, but am not terribly musical. I just got a set of bagpipes, but haven't been able to make a note yet.
