About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to learn Spanish best I can, and to gain cultural experience from others

ABOUT ME

I have finished my undergrad degree in Political Science with emphasis on International Relations. I also have a minor in Spanish. I'm still not sure what I want to go exactly. I'd really like to move to a country to practice my Spanish...When I studied abroad in Spain, I fell in love with Europe. Although I am a true Texan, I'd like to move back to Europe!

I'm always up for adventure or even just a relaxing conversation.

I look back at my study abroad experience last year, and can't believe I did half of the things I did. I don't want anything holding me down from what I can accomplish.

I have places and things to explore. I love art history, so being able to see many works of art and architecture that I had learned about in school was one of the greatest feelings in the world to me. I'd really like to go to Germany, Austria, Czech, Russia, Croatia, INDIA, parts of Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Portugal, Ireland, Scottland...the list could go on.

Easy quick things:

I like the color green.
I am TERRIFIED of spiders!
I read "The Hot Zone" by Richard Preston in 8th grade, and now have an irrational fear of Ebola.
I like art.
I like music, and am always up for something new.

PHILOSOPHY

Life happens when we're making plans.

Whatever you do, do it for peace (Lennon)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Right now I am still amazed by La Mezquita in Cordoba. The Mosque blows my mind. I wish I could really put it in to words.

Montserrat blew my mind. Being in the mountains, or the quietness of the monastery. Something everyone should experience if they come to Barcelona. I felt so small, but it was comforting and different from anything else I have felt.

I recently took a trip to Morocco. I experienced a different and rich culture. The Sahara is beautiful. Just so many rolling dunes of sand that change colors with the sun. I ate some amazing food, bought too many souvenirs and learned some Arabic words too.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love the passion that Europeans have for the things they believe in, I want to bring that back to the US.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Spain, United States
