About Me

Hi! I am a student at the University of Guelph, in Ontario, Canada, and am currently studying Environmental Sciences with a focus in Ecology. I am also a vegetarian!

I am taking this semester off from school to explore Germany and the surrounding area. I feel I need a break from my studies at this point in my life to experience the fascinating cultures found in Europe!

I would describe myself as a considerate, kind, and curious person who loves to listen. I am someone who is always open to trying new things, discovering ways to improve myself, and learning more about the massive, wonderful world we live in. I am an avid musician, environmentalist, and outdoorsman, and would consider any trip that includes all 3 to be the perfect adventure: time in the wilderness to gain perspective, music to connect with people and make them happy, and finally the sharing of environmental practices and innovative environmental ideas to be brought home with me and used to better our world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to get connected with a global community of like-minded travellers, in order to meet people and learn from them, explore the world in a budget-friendly way, and in turn provide a home for people visiting Canada.

I feel that Couchsurfing provides a unique opportunity to socialize with people living in the areas you are visiting, as well as to forge friendships across the globe and create lifelong memories together!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love indie, folk, rock, and metal music; top artists of all time would be Passenger, Ben Howard, Hozier, and Mumford & Sons.

Action and adventure and Thriller movies tend to interest me the most, but always willing to watch whatever!

In terms of books, I enjoy Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin and other fantasy novels, historical fiction novels such as the Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, and self help books such as 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Grand Canyon when I was 9 years old with my family. It was a fantastic and life changing experience that I was lucky to be a part of 😍

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach you everything I know on the topics of environmentalism, guitar playing, meditation, camping and wilderness exploration, first aid, and swimming technique. I am also fluent in English and French and am more than happy to provide practice for these languages!

I am very keen on learning such things as speaking German, the history of the places I am visiting, innovative environmental practices and ideologies, craft making, drawing/painting tips and techniques, lyric and songwriting, and almost anything else. I am an infinitely curious person and am open to learning about anything and everything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I adore sharing music with people. Besides that, I can promise to share a positive attitude, an intelligent insight, and an open mind with anyone who is kind enough to host me. If. you play an instrument, I would love to accompany you on the guitar!
