About Me

My sister is an avid couch surfer and host and she wrote a blog about this wonderful community, how to be a good host and a good guest. It's definitely worth a read! https://welovewanderlust.wordpress.com/2015/09/02/couchsurfing-how-to-be-a-good-host-and-a-good-guest/

Hey there! My name is Ty. I am a 24 yr old Australian, who is visiting Europe for the first time! I'll try and keep things short and sweet, and try not to bore you! I love meeting new people and I'm always up for new adventures and to learn more things and add more "strings to my bow" as they say! Searching around to find "my place" in this crazy world, and always keen to go with the flow either by myself or under the wing of someone! Taking life as it comes and seeing where that leads me! Due to this I've been told that I am very easy to get along with. I studied theatre, film and television at uni and hold down 6 jobs in a variety of fields in Australia

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on couchsurfing? ... Hmmm... It was actually my sister who organised the trip for me and put it in motion! She knew that I was going to be traveling on a "shoestring budget," and has had nothing but good experiences from here! So she informed me of how to set it up. And told me that I could meet amazing people, and get the most out of my trip by living as the locals do, and there was no better way than crashing on a local's couch!
So I was sold on the idea!
And that leads us to here! Now. You! Reading my profile. Deciding whether I sound sane enough or fun enough, or insane enough, to allow me sanctuary for a night or two on my trip! Helping me to make some memories that I'll keep with me for a lifetime!

Interests

I enjoy film and television! All of it! The good, the bad, the boring, and the trashy! Haha I am also into a bit of fitness, and nutrition!
This is my first time in Europe, but I am loving every minute, I'm sure that you've probably guessed (or have read enough couchsurfer profiles to deduce) that I am very into travel and having new experiences and Couchsurfing is something I have never done and as my sister is obsessed with this 'amazing community' she urged me to give it a go. Music, Movies, and Books

-For music, I listen to the radio, or if I'm feeling retro, I plug in my first generation (brick) iPod! And click shuffle!
-For movies and tv shows, there are too many to choose from! As I said, (and can't say enough,) ANYTHING! Pans Labyrinth, 21 jump street, a star is born, 10 things I hate about you, toystory (all! Right in the feels!) Brooklyn 99, American horror story, looking, friends, will and grace, embarrassing bodies any stand up comedy... Essentially If I don't have an opinion on it before seeing it then I surely will afterwards!
-For books, I am strange, because I rather listen to audiobooks, to get a better visual of the piece and can multitask whilst listening! But ... gone girl, the green mile, Charlene Harris books, podcasts, serial, anything I can get in audio form! :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of things in my life! I think one of the most enjoyable things I have done and I learnt a lot from was charity work In India for an underprivileged school.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what this section means...?... It seems to be just verbs strung together, to make your own meaning.
... In that case! ...
I am always happy to learn whatever I can and I like to pass it on! In Australia, I am a speech and drama teacher, so I've always got a drama game ready to go, to liven things up!
I've strangely begun to enjoy my fitness (a sentence that I never thought I'd utter! Or thud onto a keyboard.) and I am always happy to have company, and share in that!
My time, my language, my style? anything I have, is yours!
Being from a theatre background, I've met people from all walks of life and I find that the people you have the least in common with, are the people you have the most to learn from! And can often pleasantly surprise you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to share anything I can with my host!
Mi casa Es su casa! And if, somehow, anything I can do/give/say/be can help and bring the proverbial light to someone's life, then it is all theirs! We're all here because we want to help others! And have a blast! So let the sharing commence!
