I'm taking a small break from school right now to travel for a while, but when I get back I'll start work on becoming a youth counselor. The idea of using my past experiences and hardships to work with teens and kids who are at risk, coming out of juvy, or struggling with addiction, depression, or anger just seems like a truly fulfilling thing to do with my life. I might not make a whole lot of money doing it but at least I'll feel like I'm doing something important.

As for my personality, I like to think of myself as a really friendly person if a bit shy at first. I'm always happy to sit and talk for hours and if you ask me questions I'll tell you pretty much anything you want to know. I don't want anyone to think I'm taking advantage of them or overstaying my welcome, so even if you give me free reign of your place I'm probably still gonna ask you for permission for every little thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As of May 31 I've been traveling around the country on foot and catching rides along the way. I started off from home in Bloomington, Minnesota and now I'm gradually making my way west and looking for places to stay, cool people to meet, and fun things to do. I started up a tumblr page so people can keep track of me and what I'm doing on this big trip of mine.
