Overview
About Me
We are a Canadian couple, currently travelling around South America. While exploring the continent's diverse geography, we have loved meeting new people, hearing about politics and learning new languages. Although not late night party people, we do enjoy great conversations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We enjoyed the personal connections when we used Airbnb and were recommend to CouchSurfing. It seemed like a natural fit.
Interests
All things science (we both have our Biochemistry degrees), sewing, cooking/baking (if you have a kitchen we can use we would love to share a meal) and nature.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Tracy grew up loving country music (Tim McGraw and Terry Clark stuff). Both of us love movie soundtracks (Hans Zimmer) if we are working.
Books:
Science fiction, adventure or out right science books: A Song of Ice and Fire, Lord of the Rings, Captain Blood, The Count of Monte Cristo and The Martian.
Movies:
Similar to books, although we don't see a lot of movies or TV shows normally. Tyler loves a good documentary.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking Mount Roraima (and surviving it for Tracy). Scuba diving off the island of Bonaire.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A meal and the conversation around it. When we are at home we love having people over, feeding them and visiting and the same thing has applied on the road. If we can get groceries and have the equipment we love to cook; even better when we get to share it. We are honest and open people when it comes to sharing about ourselves and enjoy getting to know those we have met on the road.
