Sobre Mim
I'm currently a graduate student studying rhetoric, philosophy and history. I also work through a $2 million grant to propose innovative ways of fighting hunger and poverty. While these projects attempt to take all of my time away, I do still find time to share a bit of time with my family, my friends and my English Bulldog Philosophia.
In graduate school, my specific research interests are in the way that popular culture uses and abuses scientific language as a manipulator. I also work in minority dialogue, studying the impacts of federal and popular rhetorics on minorities.
I have lived in Kansas my entire life (though I will be moving soon).
Por que estou no Couchsurfing?
There are two main reasons that I want to couch surf--first, because I truly enjoy meeting new people and learning from them about the place where they live; and second, as I travel around the country presenting my research I need a place to stay that won't take every last penny I get paid.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros
When I'm not reading textbooks or researching, I'm reading history books or popular thrillers. I especially like Lee Childs. I watch mainly respectable comedies and dramas (i.e. How I Met Your Mother) and then publish research on them. As for music, I like a wide variety of artists ranging from Ramstein to Martin Jacoby.
Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz
I'm currently one of the leading scholars on the Indiana Jones franchise. I currently have a contract offer to make my work into a book on the subject.
Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe
One of the first things that I learned doing research in minority dialogue and poverty in the United States is that sharing with others is the key to learning and changing our world. By sharing our lives with each other we are able to teach each other about our blind spots and learn about the wide and varied world that is around us. I firmly believe that it is only in a society where sharing occurs frequently between people that we will be able to overcome differences and forge true peace and justice.
O Que Posso Compartilhar com Anfitriões
I can offer three things to any host:
1) It's my policy to always give a host a $20 gift card to a local store. (Let me know if you have any requests).
2) The chance to help a poor graduate student attempt to change the world!
3) Friendship: I always look to build new friendships with people throughout the country and world. You can always look me up wherever I end up.
