Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now, I'm looking for accommodations for a self-directed study abroad in Europe that will see me visite Cologne, Germany, Paris, and Hildesheim over the space of three weeks or so. The dates I will spend in Germany correspond with musical festivals I plan to attend; the time in Paris is going to be spent exploring goth music events and establishments that are frequented by goths. I want to produce a sort of oral history of my experiences exploring the subculture and speaking to those who participate in it.
