About Me

Outdoor educator, wildlife interpreter, and professional enthusiast of good conversations and better views. I’ve worked as a naturalist on the Oregon coast, guided kayak tours in the US Virgin Islands, and spent time doing conservation work near Zion National Park. I love places where geology, ecology, and human stories overlap, and I’m always happy to talk wildlife, parks, or the weird little details that make a place special.

I’m currently plotting a long-term move toward conservation and environmental management, ideally somewhere with strong coffee and strong public lands (hi, New Zealand). I’m tidy, respectful, and genuinely grateful to hosts. If you enjoy trading stories, exploring outdoors, or low-key nerding out about nature, we’ll probably get along great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What a crazy time to be traveling during! New places are wonderful to visit, but new perspectives shared from others are even more memorable and worthwhile. What better way to gain said perspectives than CS!? (*serious regret from not having Couch-surfed until now; better late than never I suppose)!

CS also allows me to save money (of which is quite important being on a "volunteer" salary and all 😅)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Oof, this is difficult. Chase Holfelder, Aurora, Natewantstobattle, Caleb Hyles, Jonathan Young, PATD!, and Grace Vanderwaal currently dominate my playlist!

Movies: Anything Disney (I can sing Moana / Frozen for days). MCU comes in a close second.

Books: Mostly historical or travel records. I love finding old journals of those who went on expeditions centuries ago! I also am very into distillery, winery, and brewery reads.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have backpacked the world for three years straight during a global pandemic :)

Teach, Learn, Share

A truly successful journey is measured by the knowledge and wisdom one gains along the traveled path.

I am a classical musician by trade, so I would be happy to share music theory and instrumental lessons (percussion, conducting, piano)! I am also an English teacher, so I'd be happy to accommodate anyone who is ever in need of language assistance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope to share memorable conversations. Exchanging perspectives, deep conversations, drinking good wine, and perhaps even scheduling hikes together if we become friends! I’d also love to cook together! If you have a play instruments, let’s jam! (I play piano and percussion).

Also, if you are interested in content creating (Instagram, YouTube, or just for yourself), we can take my drone with us on whatever adventure we find ourselves on for an awesome video / photography session!
