ABOUT ME

I grew up in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area and have lived here all of my life...but that's ok because I love the area! I've done a fair amount of traveling, and am moving to Shanghai with my girlfriend in 2015. I'm planning to travel to multiple countries in SE Asia. I'm pretty sure I recently came down with what doctors call "wanderlust".

I love:

-my family and friends
-The outdoors: camping, hiking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, running, most sports, etc.
-travel
-reading (history, science, popular fiction - think Harry Potter, or Dan Brown series)
-history
-beer (hoppy = happy)
-food (Apparently this is required to survive in other countries as well)
-dogs
-movies: favorite movie is Rounders, but I think the best movie (there is a difference between best and favorite) I've ever seen is the Godfather, closely followed by Godfather II)

I just recently learned about Couchsurfing while planning for travels coming up very soon! Everything about it sounds fascinating and really rewarding for everyone involved. I get really energized when I meet people from different cultures and people with different backgrounds! As a traveler, I really want to meet local people and see the way they live, and learn about their favorite places (and foods, and their family, and many other things - like their philosophy on an array of topics)
