HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am particularly interested in hosting international travelers.

I participate in Servas as a host and traveler. I also participate as a homestay host, conversation friend and international friend to international students every year.

PLEASE NOTE: I have hosted many couchsurfers over the past eight years. Although I have met a few really wonderful people, far too many of them proved to be "freeloaders" who contributed nothing, brought nothing to share, didn't care about anything but a free place to sleep, didn't clean up, and ignored my specific requests. I still enjoy hosting and would appreciate your consideration! I am not likely to offer hospitality when approached with a last-minute request, and I am generally not inclined to host couchsurfers without references or verification. Please include your full name and home address with any request. Also, if you have no references and/or an incomplete profile, I will decline to host you. VERIFIED COUCHSURFERS STRONGLY PREFERRED.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done CS type visiting in Europe several times, and I've really enjoyed it.

I've made some great friends through CS.

I have been in a film club and am now in a book club. I attend many concerts, festivals and theatrical productions. I sing and I play ukulele, and I especially enjoy guests who sing and/or play musical instruments, and like to jam.
