Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, I mostly help my girlfriend Katy when she's hosting c-surfers at her house. If I were in a position to host directly, I would definitely do so!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This thing is the best. Full of Superb people, with much great times ahead.
Interests
Comics-making, drawing, animation, writing, storytelling, live music/playing music/teaching music (I play trumpet, guitar, drums, and little piano), photography/film, cooking/baking, hiking, thrifting, woodworking, leatherworking, a bit of bicycling, target archery on occasion. I'm not vegan, but I like vegan food very much (my girlfriend is an incredible vegan cook!). I read a lot of non-fiction, social sciences mainly. I've been known to play minecraft...sometimes.

Music, Movies, and Books
This American Life and Radiolab, "The End of Mr. Y", Candide, Dianna Wynne Jones novels, "Earthsea" series, read a little Hemmingway, some Jared Diamond, Jonah Lehrer, a little Richard Dawkins. I also enjoy "the elements of style" (yep), and both Vanderpoel's and Loomis' figure drawing texts. And much comics, in no particular order: Jim Woodring, Brandon Graham, "Scott Pilgrim", Adrian Tomine, Dan Clowes, "Little Nemo in Slumberland", "Calvin and Hobbes", Tsutomu Nihei, Los Bros. Hernandez, Chris Ware, Jeffrey Brown, "Achewood", and many many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in San Francisco during the Loma Prieta earthquake, 1989, but I was a little kid. Still, it was interesting: kind of fun during the shaking, kind of scary right after, and very strange for the rest of that month. I rode in the "world naked bike ride" twice, which felt giddy/crazy at the time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anything I can do, I can teach you! Music, comics-making, cooking, archery, all sorts of things.
