ABOUT ME

I love any form of learning; traveling, meeting people, reading, etc.

Besides that, I really enjoy music, reading, hiking, swimming, traveling, being out in nature, etc.
I like to think I'm an outgoing person, but I still suffer the residual effects of being very shy when I was younger, and being ambushed by piles of paper and books as I battle with finishing my university degree doesn't always help with that...
BUT
I love people and talking with them, whether it's over a cup of tea or coffee, going for a walk with them, or even cooking together. You only live once, and you should make the most of it (especially if it means being absolutely ridiculous now and then...everyone could use a good laugh, or at least a smile).

I especially like it when I can combine anything that I do with meeting or helping people....I recently WWOOFed on a farm in Wales which combined my interests of being in nature, traveling, meeting people, and being useful...it was one of the best experiences in my life.

I am currently traveling with my roommate of several years, Lauren, who is not yet on couchsurfing.org, but I would trust her with my life. She is easy-going, friendly, loves good food, and is interested in sustainability especially as it relates to urban planning. She is in one of my photos, should you also wish to see her.

Waayy too many to list here. I like almost anything, or can at least be interested in it for a time. I haven't had as much time for fun reading in the past few years because of taking so many classes at university, but would love to find some new ones to add to my copious "to-read" list...that goes for new music and movies as well!
I love anything from Artemis Fowl and The Number Devil to Shakespeare to Jane Austen to mysteries to science fiction to books on astrophysics to historical novels.
Movie favorites are just as diverse, and music is practically anything, excepting most rap and hard metal...although I have had a few friends occasionally convert me for a little while.

WWOOFing in Wales. Wales is a beautiful country with the friendliest people you'll ever meet, and I learned so much while meeting and working alongside some of the most amazing people.
