I have met wonderful people through CS and dived into the riches of cities and cultures without swimming first for days and weeks in the shallow waters, like tourists.

CS is an exchange beyond the normal and in my case left most amazing memories behind.
I think that CS is an opportunity to open the doors to a complete stranger and find out, how we are all the same, basically.
Sometimes it is only a coffee, a stroll around town, a vist in a art gallery, a concert, a few drinks in a bar, a short sleep over, a session of painting a wall or a canvas with someone unknown before,....... but in the end, it is always an exchange and a discovery of a very unique perspective of a city, a place, life itself or even a new frame of mind.....
To me, this is the core of the CS experience and I am a huge fan of it for many years.

CS could also stand for culinary-sharing, because I enjoyed dishes, that are most likely not served anywhere in a restaurant. When I get the chance I cook and serve with pleasure local dishes to my guests and enjoy sharing culinary traditions .

兴趣

Well I have a scientific side and an artistic side in me. Therefore my range of interests is quite wide. I really enjoy drawing and painting, sometimes I feel obsessed by light and how it is turning objects into different perspectives and moods.

I also enjoy a lot horses and other rather big animals. Medicine is most fascinating to me and I enjoy concerts of all sorts. Not bad at partying either, like beer and wine, occasionally enjoy looong nights out. ....sociable guy....lots of stories to tell.

I sailed across the Atlantic ocean on a 13m catamaran for nearly three weeks.

Oh well, one more amazing thing was screening 1007 tanzanians in a district hospital in order to understand the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease and diabetes in population from sub-Sahara Africa in more detail.
Oh well, one more amazing thing is going to NYC regularly to print my art work.
