ABOUT ME

Hello!! I am originally from London but am currently living in Cali for a year provisionally and hopefully extending this for longer!! I am a qualified English teacher and have experience of working in Bolivia and Colombia. I am currently working as a private tutor (you may have seen my "Keep Calm and Learn English" posters around San Antonio and universities) and would like to invite all of you to learn more English with me!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to meet up with travellers for coffee, a beer and/or a spot of salsa. Would love to meet some more locals for some English and Spanish exchanges. I regularly attend the Tostaky language exchange every Monday evening.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was travelling around all of South America a year ago and met so many lovely people who offered me beds or couches to stay on or the benefit of their wisdom of their home city.

Interests

I enjoy meeting new people, sports, visiting cultural hot spots, some salsa dancing, checking out the drinks menu in bars, trekking, seeing new places etc etc

Music, Movies, and Books

Bjork, Four Tet, Floating Pôints, Caribou, Nick Cave, Mazzy Star, SBTRKT, Nirvana, D-Bridge, blah, di blah! Just like a wide spectrum of music really. Check out ATP and Bleep for some idea of the sort of thing I might be going to or into, if you are super interested.

Love Futurism style writing, such as Brave New World, 1984 etc and newer stuff by David Mitchell, which draws on these ideas. reading books set in places I would like to go or have been is also a buzz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Muchas festivals in New York, England (a lot of), Norway and Spain. All amazing in their own rights!
