About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet interesting people and have some fun
ABOUT ME
I am a middle aged working woman and consider myself to be fun, intelligent, witty and interesting (Hmmm this is starting to sound a bit like a dating profile so I will stop rabbiting on about me now lol)
One thing to be aware of is that I have a cat and an Akita dog .... both very people friendly ... but if you have allergies, then this might not be the place to stay :)
Oh by the way, If you happen to be able to rollerblade then I might just grab you for a lesson or two ... I cant do it ... never managed rollerskating at school but would love to be able to do it ... even if I do wobble just standing on one leg (Im not joking either)... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED LOL
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in the inherent good ness of mankind ... people call me naive and idealistic ... but I prefer to see people that way
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only just come across the concept of couch surfing but I think its brilliant and though Im not in a position to travel myself right now, would be happy to put 1 or 2 people up for a night or three. I cant help out much with sight seeing etc as not only do I work, but I dont drive ... however I can point you in the direction of varous things to do and transport options to get there ..ie bus, train etc ... and Im sure we could have a good evening or two in the pub, or cooking a meal etc with a bottle of plonk :)
Interests
I like people and find peoples "stories" interesting. Everyone has a story ... something interesting, moving, inspiring, educational or whatever to impart ... sadly we just dont always get the chance to connect with people at that level to share these stories, especially in todays fast paced, shallow, disposable, consumer driven society.
I love alternative medicine, reading, theatre, film, conversation, music, laughing, helping, dog walking, photography and lots of other stuff

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I ever saw was in Iceland one Winters eve ... temperature minus 20 ... I was with some friends in the middle of nowhere away from the city lights ... we stood by a freshwater lake, surrounded by snow capped mountains under a full moon. Then to add to the magic we witnessed an amazing meteor shower AND the Northern Lights all at the same time. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen
