关于我

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to smoke a cigarette between my toes? Either that or be Spiderwoman, I'm not sure.

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist and a reader.

Love to have a good time with new people, learn new things, and laugh along the way. I'm laid-back and easy-going, and can get along with almost anyone.

PHILOSOPHY

At the root of things, life is really absurdity. However, this gives us the chance to make out of life whatever we wish. I have discovered that lasting friendships and art in any forms tend to be what make my life worth living. An to counter this absurdity of life, we must laugh as much as possible.

Of course we all must have our serious and quiet moments as well, and I appreciate being with people of all personality types.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

You need a couch? I've got a few.

I'd love to show you around my city if I have time. If not, I'd love to tell you the cool places to go and the great things to see. I really want to share what I know about beautiful Budapest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have actually had quite a bit of experience though I am new to the website. I have only hosted surfers through friends, but have found it to be an enriching experience in uncountable ways. I hope to surf couches someday in the near future, but for now, I love sharing my knowledge of the city that I love and it's history. I hope to help people understand that people everywhere are the same, only their habits differ (Confucius). But these differences are what make the world an interesting place to live in.

兴趣

I am mostly interested in the things that interest me : )

Books (and people) of all shapes, sizes, colors, and philosophies

Music, playing and listening.

The incredible relationship between Art and Physics. Studying the implications of Space, Time, and Light on both subjects.

Getting lost and seeing new things, especially beautiful buildings that are falling down.

Bike riding in the city at night.

Whisky (Can't forget whisky!) and delicious food of all kinds, especially Mexican.

Double Entendres and wordplay

Collaborative Art (especially Exquisite Corpses)

Really long lists of things

Magic Tricks

Anything that anyone is willing to teach me.

音乐、电影和书籍

Whoa. A Loaded question.

Books: I love Truman Capote, Zadie Smith, Kurt Vonnegut, Virginia Woolf, Sartre, P G Wodehouse, John Kennedy Toole (A Confederacy of Dunces- favorite book of all time), Joyce, Robert Persig, Tom Robbins, good histories and anyone who can tell a good story (I'll stop there because the list could go on forever).

Movies: 2 favorites- Dr. Strangelove and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Good and creative documentaries, Jim Jarmusch, the Coen brothers, B grade horror films, Jean Luc Goddard, Charlie Chaplain, anything with Marlene Dietrich, Some Like it Hot, A Streetcar Named Desire, Tarentino, Bad American films from the 80's, Turkish zombie and Dracula films, again, the list continues.

Music (the most important)- Anything that's good. Tom Waits, Smog, Joanna Newsom, Andre Williams, Sam Cooke, Ratatat, TV on the Radio, Rockabilly, good electronic music, early American protest music, Klezmer music, Balkan beats, Psychobilly, good old Rock n Roll or American R&B from the 50's, classical-- you name the genre and I'll tell you who I like within that genre.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Well, the most amazing thing that I've seen and done was the rebuilding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Too much to write about now, but if we ever meet I'd be happy to tell you about it.

教,学,和分享

I can teach you how to open a bottle of beer with a lighter (or anything available), or how to cook some good Cajun food. My roommate is also willing to show people how to solve the Rubik's cube.

I'd love to learn to do Magic Tricks or make some great new dishes that I've never made before.
