ABOUT ME

Tricky one.. I'd usually start introducing myself writing everything you already can read in my profile as name and age, but I can skip that..

So Hi people! I actually became a member after beeing convinced by a friend of a friend, and as you can see I kept my promise. I was born and raised in Norway in a small city just on the south coast, called Grimstad, just by the sea, which has cursed (though I'd say blessed) me to not beeing able to live without the sea.

Yes, I am norwegian, my roots are too (for what I know...), but my grandmother's from the exotic....wait for it... England ;) Believe it or not, I do feel "blue-eyed and blonde",.. but my heart is italian :)

I spent a year in Italy (Sicily) as an exchange student 2009/10, actually a result of a couple random choices but it turned out to be the best choice I've ever made in my life, and it will always be a part of me.

The past two years I've been volunteering for AFS Intercultura; a non-profit international exchange organization that has been "sharing cultures and connecting lives" for over 60 years, between more than 50 countries worldwide. AFS works toward a more just and peaceful world, by providing knowledge, understanding, intercultral and international experiences through a global volunteer partnership. It changed my life more than I can ever imagine.

I currently live in Italy, Siena (in toscany),
and planning on staying at least another two years
as I'm on the first year studying languages.

I love travelling, it makes me feel free, and it somehow satisfies my curiosity towards what's different and new. I'm adventurous, flexible, relaxed, but sometimes a bit too energic, very non-schedueld, quite random, loving challanges, awesome at driving people crazy by being me and being always late.

I don't have the right word to describe how I feel about music. I spend most of my time listening to it, playing or writing it, though I never had the time to become real awesome at an instrument because at first I had a big crush on the piano.. and the guitar.. and the harmonica.. but then I fell in love with the ukulele. Which is also the explaination of my CS name.

And ss you've probably noticed I talk a lot, and I think it's better to finish this now, unless I never will :)

Music - makes me fall in love - everyhing from Rock to Mozart, really, a little of all genres, it's enough making me feel that special thing. Lucio Battisti, Katie Melua, The Killers, Elisa, Adele, Kings Of Leon, System Of A Down, The Script, Bob Marley, Laura Pausini, Ligabue, BFMV, Domenico Modugno, Maria Mena, The Kooks, Muse, The Beatles, Kaizers Orchestra, The Fray, Coldplay, Yann Tiersen,.. folk etc.

Books - I must admit I don't read much, but I love the kind of books that brings you back ten years and make you feel like a child again, Roald Dahl manage to do that ALLTHETIME. I also love Astrid Lindgren (Swedish), and the saga of Darren Shan. But also that kind of books that make me keep reading for days without a break, like really exciting books..

Movies - must say I really have a thing for romantic comedies.. and DISNEY, and movies that make me cry, but I also like real horror sometimes.. some favourites: 50 first dates, Friends With Benefits, Shrek, Taken, Norbit - V for Vendetta - Forest Gump, AMERICAN PIE, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Love actually, Ice Age Goodbye Lenin, The pianist, The notebook, and of course Yohan - Barnevandreren (norwegian) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMSXEu86g0w) and I have a small role as a gypsy :D

How can I say only ONE?
I've danced tango with a chinese, been on a musical exchange week, slept in a tree, camped outside school with a bonfire and a tent (and good friends), participated on a Bachelorparty with complete strangers, climbed an entire mountain in Edinburgh, icebathed twice, watched the sunset from a dinghy sorunded only by small islands and the open sea, cycled the sicilian fields all alone only with Lucio Battisti on my ears, bathed in the hot spring of Tolfa, São João in Porto, The Carival of Sciacca. My life started when I left with AFS, met amazing people that happened to change my life, and that was only the beginning... :)

I believe every place has its own magic, every language its own beauty, and every culture their own secrets, so tell me tell me tell me show me show me show me cause I want to know :):)
