ABOUT ME

We are friendly, communicative, supporting people. We live in a flat with garden and have a nice cat. We like to hike in the Alps but also relax in the garden. We like visiting interesting cities, enjoy buying on local green markets, eat special food, travel around in foreign countries, mainly in Europe and Asia. During the year Uli sings in a gospel choir and started Kundalini Yoga last year. Together we do some improv theatre every week.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As couchsurfers we are looking forward to meet local people to get a better impression of the cities and countries we visit.

As hosts we'd like to help you to find out the pleasures of Munich and Southern Bavaria.
NOTE: we cannot offer our couch until mid of May!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We now hosted our first guests: a sympathetic French couple and a friendly and very interested guy from Bulgaria. So we had a good start on CS and are looking forward to many other interesting experiences. Next we are going to surf...

Interests

Throughout the year we like gardening. We meet our friends for barbecue, hiking or in one of those lovely beergardens in and around Munich. With friends and with guests we like talking about interesting things, culture, politics, society. We like to read our favourite newspaper "taz.die tageszeitung", love cooking and eating together. Talking and laughing. Play with the cat. Taking pictures - especially street photography. Anton is a very good computer-supporter, especially for innocent female friends - patient and very good in explaining. Uli is interested in the idea of the free basic income.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like looking whodunit on home cinema sometimes and arthouse films at the cinema. We're into looking political cabaret. Anything else on TV is boring but radio can operate nearly the hole day. We like lots of different music. Not so much hard things and not too soft as well. Something good for dancing is fine. We used to dance Argentine Tango... Books can be thrillers (Anton) or non-fiction guidebooks (Uli) or any suspensful novel (both).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uli: Visiting a festival with about 200 Elephants in Thailand as adult. So called "Surin Elephant round up". Because I visited it as a little child of about 2 years, when I lived in Thailand with my parents. Another impressing thing was to visit the Alhambra in Granada, Spain not only by day, but also by night!
Anton: I was impressed when I came to the Mont Saint Michel years ago, feeling the spirit of this place even amongst thousands of people. And I liked Bangkok each time I came there, a city that never seems to sleep - awesome! Niagara Falls - unbelievable to see a wide river falling down 60 meters, what a power!

Teach, Learn, Share

We both may tell you a lot about gardening and the names of the flowers. Maybe we can show you some good new recipe and you can do this for us either. We can share knowledge about some herbs. I (Uli) started streetphotography and am happy to learn or share experiences. Anton is a great practical teacher of many softwear programmes and of solving hardwear problems... and there may be thousands of things we can learn from you!?!
