Travelling is my biggest passion, starting with an amazing backpacking-trip to Thailand in 2007! Since that time I took 4 longtime breaks from my job (the last one was 2 years). Meanwhile I visited more than 80 countries 🌏🌎🌍 However, I am still interested to explore more from this world, see different things, cultures, landscapes, meet new people...

It's great to meet people from all over the world - always interesting to see how life works in other countries! And: No matter if people come from Europe, America, Africa or Asia - we travellers are one big family!! 🌍🌎🌏

I signed up at CS just for interest, not knowing what wonderful and unique experiences I will make. I met sooo lovely people, who made my time unforgettable and gave me a feeling like having a family far away from my home!! Thx to all couchsurfers who share their home and life with others - you are great!!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There are different travel experiences wich are really unforgettable for me! Here are my top 7:

1) A 22.000 km and 8 months lasting road-trip in Australia with a VW T3 van, just with a simple mattress in the backside of the car (and doing some really exhausting fruitpicking on a mandarine/lemon farm in Australia's outback)

2) Climbing Macchu Picchu in Peru, Uluru in Australia, the Maya pyramids in Mexico and some volcanoes in New Zealand, Sumatra, Nicaragua and Costa Rica...

3) Visiting the stunning ruins of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, laid-back Bagan in Myanmar and the famous Taj Mahal in India...

4) Making a ship-cruise in the orient (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, Oman) and incredibly scenic train-rides in Sri Lanka and North-Thailand...

5) Visiting approximately 20 capital cities in Europe during the last years: From Rome to Helsinki, from Lisbon to Budapest and from Athens to Edinburgh...

6) Joining a local person into remote northeast Thailand and staying two weeks in a small village near the Mekong. I've not seen one single tourist in this time and really enjoyed rural authentic life there (I felt like living 100 years ago)! An experience for a lifetime!

7) Doing an awesome road trip in the western U.S. (from San Francisco to Los Angeles, back via Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Zion NP, Valley of Fire and Yosemite NP) and city-trips to Chicago, Washington and New York!

I can teach you Bavarian dialect - the best one in Germany! *haha* We can talk about sports, politics and food (unfortunately I'm a very bad cooker - however, I'm a real good eater and especially love Asian food *yummieee* ). In Munich I can prepare traditional Bavarian white-sausage (the so-called 'Weisswurst'), that's easy to make 😉 Furthermore, I can guide you in Munich or we can visit my beautiful home-town Erding (45 minutes from Munich), where the world-famous "Erdinger Weissbier" comes from *cheers* 🍺
