ABOUT ME

Hello :-)

I'm David, I was born in Belgium and spent my childhood in a small village not too far from Brussels.
When I was a teenager I moved to Australia. I lived in Perth where I had a fantastic experience and I met amazing people. I remember when I moved to Perth I couldn't speak a word of English… back home, in Belgium, I was in a French/Dutch school. The first month was a bit difficult ‘cause I couldn’t speak as much as I wanted!! I remember going to school in the morning, sitting in the bus, looking at the beach and telling myself " Seriously what the hell is going on here? Why I am here? pppffff bloody Australia !!!! " But as soon as I had a bit of knowledge on how to communicate correctly in English I discovered a totally new world. It was as if I had a new pair of glasses and I could see things with a better angle ☺ New cultures, new believes, things I had no idea it existed... That experience changed me up side down... Since then I can't stop travelling, meeting new people, and share my passion for life and learn from others...

After Australia, I wanted to go to university but I couldn't imagine staying or coming back home, in Belgium... I decided to move to France and started my acting study. After a couple of years in Paris I moved to New York. I taught at the Lycee Français and took classes at Julliard School. I work as a professor’s assistant at NYU and gave some French classes at Columbia University…

After 3 years in NY, I moved to London to do a MA Acting. I studied at East15 acting school/University of Essex.

I’m now working as a professional actor, mainly based in London.

All that to say, I’m very easy, respectful person, love meeting new people and share stories/experiences from the world… My biggest hobby is laughing and smiling. A part from that I’m a horse lover, big Art lover (I’m a painter as well), food lover ( ooooh yeah I love cheese and veggies ☺ ) and of course I love sport, beach and swimming ☺

PHILOSOPHY

I'm tree hugger :-), do yoga and reiki... I believe in people and on a beautiful smile...

I'm new on Couchsurfing, I created my account a year ago but I was very busy with my study and never had the time to fill out my profile correctly. Lots of my friends are CS and they strongly advice me to join the club :-)

I can't wait to discover more about it...

Interests

I love movies, art exhibitions, cooking, painting... Strangely I love cars but I know nothing about it... I'm always staring at nice sportive cars !!!

I do sport as well: more than 10 years of horse ridding and recently learned acrobatic horse ridding, love dancing and try to go to the gym couple of time a week:-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much like all movies... Maybe a bit more action movies tho :-)

Music: I enjoy classical as much as salsa, jazz, hip hop...

Books: well I had to read a lot for my study from Russian to American or European writers... I do read as well a lot of books about energy, healing, spirituality...
