I am Umit, living in Washington, DC, currently (Current Year - 1993) years old. I was born in Turkey and lived there for many years before moving to this beautiful city.
When you live so far from your birthplace, the urge to return to your home country often strikes you every time you cross the Atlantic ocean. I’m working on overcoming this mental barrier so I can put as many country pins as possible on the world wall map in my room.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined this community in 2013 while I was a college student in Wroclaw, Poland. Since then, I’ve hosted and hung out and stayed with many cool people from all over the world. As I grow older, the Couchsurfing turned into hangout app for me and I started using this platform only to find people to hang out with.
