About Me

I think of achieving a great career where one watches movie all day long without a need of doing anything else, but since it may seem impractical I should say that I'm not a much of a party person to describe myself: I would rather have dinner with friends while drinking and talking about what's happening in our lives.

I'm studying Political Science at METU in Turkey and I want to be a student for the rest of my life unless I can retire right after university :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people while finding easy accommodation for short term.

Interests

Cinema and video games. Exploring new bands to listen something new everyday.

I have movie collection that grows bigger each day and travelling might be giving me a chance to add new unique pieces to it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nick Cave and Bad Seeds, Bruce Springsteen, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, The Smiths and everything that falls in this particular area.

By movies: Taxi Driver/ Paris, Texas/ Badlands/ Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... And Spring/ Cool Hand Luke/ Into the Wild.
and also anything Scorsese, Truffaut, Wenders, PTA, Malle, Woody Allen has directed.

I like reading anything that is relevant to my field of study, which is Political Science and has boundaries close to Philosophy and Sociology. Other than this I like reading books regarding cinema whether they are books consisting of interviews with directors or books dealing with theoretical aspect of movies.

Also I love Richard Brautigan, Marguerite Yourcenar, Sevgi Soysal.

And these days I'm trying to be more familiar with Sci-Fi literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't really think I have done something amazing yet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm willing to learn anything about cooking. I love cooking and trying new tastes, but really; we all learning somethings from each other and I just don't know what are those particular things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Pleasant conversations about what's important in our lives, but not much of a small talker.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Netherlands, Poland
