About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make it through the day without getting wet.

ABOUT ME

I am nice and I know some stuff.

I don't have much hair on the top of my head, but that's okay, because there's always just enough money for a hat.

I like music and reading. Currently I am reading Uwe Tellkamps novel "Der Turm", which looks like 300 pages from the side, but actually holds about 1000 pages about Dresden in the last decade of the GDR. Turns out the 80s weren't so good no matter where you were in the world.

Also, I very much like my girlfriend. She's nice, too, and she also knows some stuff. Interesting stuff.

Among the languages I speak are German for obvious reasons, English for also pretty obvious reasons, and Spanish for not-so-obvious reasons that involve one girl in 9th grade and my unwillingness to choose Biology as a major subject.

I make music in a band. Actually it's two bands, but not at the same time (because e.g. limited amount of hands).

PHILOSOPHY

No need to be an ass.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm pretty new to this whole couchsurfing thing, but I remember having a few people from Spain over in Freiburg for a weekend or so back when Hospitalityclub was still a thing. Is it still a thing?

The idea of it I like very much. I would also like to meet many nice people who know some stuff!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said, not much on here, more on Hospitalityclub. Had guests from Spain back in Freiburg, stayed at others' places pretty much all over Europe.

Interests

What I like most in the world is saying things twice.
Here we go:

I like music, books (short or long), movies (rather short ones than long ones actually), theater (rather short and with only minute amounts of screaming and over-accentuated stomping), most forms of art that don't involve turning perfectly good food into statues that then, in consequence, freak me out in a way that makes me hungry. Not cool!

Also, I like animals, which is probably why I choose not to eat them. I probably would also not eat my parents for similar reasons.

Music, Movies, and Books

Yes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw and "climbed" the tallest mountain in Schleswig-Holstein. It's about 3 to 7 meters high, so it's bigger than me. AND THEY BUILT A TOWER ON TOP! What did they do that for? I guess in winter you can see through the trees, but not if they have leaves! Ridiculous!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably teach the three guitar chords that are most important for any kind of guitar-involving music. I'll just have to look which ones that might be.

I can teach some Latin, but what would you need that for? Seriously!

If you're between 12 and 18 years old and in a German school, i can probably teach you about philosophy and politics without having to ask you first if you really want to hear anything about that.
