Why I’m on Couchsurfing
couchsurfing does not equal couchsurfing.org
but nevertheless it (.org one) is a very nice community with absolutely wonderful people
music - I play cello and guitar (not really good) and do some singing;
role-playing - from table games to real-action;
history, culture and all other interesting things)
hard to name them all, they are many :)
ah. and photography.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music. I do love music, to play and to listen from early music and all sorts of folk and traditional to classical (Bach is god, Shostakovitch is insane (I mean that's cool) and Hindemith as well, and and ah they are so many!!!) to death- and black metal (BZZZHHHH AAARGHH!!!).
Movies... Various. Good movies. Hard to define. From art-house to hollywood. Some random samples: The Mirror by Andrey Tarkovsky (actually I think I love all his films, and the same is true about most of the directors listed below), 7th seal by Ingmar Bergman , Blow Up by Antonioni, Fitzcarraldo by Werner Herzog, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Formman, Dolls by Takeshi Kitano, many other direcotrs (Zefirelli, Kubrick, Lynch, Kurosawa, Pasolini...) and many other films ( 7 Samurai, Dead Poets Society, Pi, The Crow, damn, they actually are too many)
Some TV series.... Firefly - the best ever. for true geeks :)
Some anime- Cowboy Bebop, Noir, Mahou Senshi Riui, S.E.Lain, NGE...
Books. from Iliad and before to modern literature. Umberto Eco is one of my favorite authors. Borges is another)
Also modern fiction, fantasy, non-fiction,
What else.. I do like modern sci-fi/fantasy by Henry Lion Oldie (brilliant Ukrainian authors, but they write in Russian and it's hardly probable you know them) and a bit less modern sci-fi by brothers Strugatskie (soviet russian authors).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
oh, many things are amazing antil you do them...
Teach, Learn, Share
The more hobbies you have - the less time you can spend on each of them, so I'm kinda amateur in everything, but I hope I can teach something about any of them if you are interested.
And I'm always excited to learn something new)
