Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling one can take many approaches... they can backpack, they can go on the cheap, or they may choose total luxury... For me I enjoy all these experiences... I love staying with families and breaking bread with them in their home, I enjoy traveling on a budget to see what kind of opportunities magically present themselves, and I even occasionally go big because life has many flavors and I want to taste them all.

Couchsurfing allows you to meet new friends and maybe even some you can call family overnight. It allows you to truly experience the culture of the region you are traveling and it also gives you an opportunity to look at a location through someone else's eyes... their recommendations and ideas may take you down a totally different path which gives birth to a whole new journey and experience.

I love my couch surfers! I love making them dinner and hearing about their journey... I especially love running into them years later at a festival when they remember my name and tell stories of their great time with me in my home... It is truly incredible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent 2017 traveling India and Nepal learning about life, spirituality, privilege, and yoga. I left on January 1 2017 for my New Year New Me Tour and I will be flying to Thailand December 30th to spend this New Year in my 2nd bucket list country to study massage, learn to dive, and experience amazing Thai culture. I am most excited for the food!!
