ABOUT ME

»I'm an Experience Architect.«
It consumes a lot of my time and I like it because most of the time it doesn't feel too much like work.

»I'm an 4:30 AM athlete.«
I love to challenge my body, my mind and my soul. I enjoy defeating, conquering and silencing my thoughts, tearing my ego down, building my will, accepting things as they are and coming back even harder. Last but not least, sports is big in two more things I like a lot: Respect and some level of spiritualism. I am deeply fascinated by asian traditions, Mixed Martial Arts, Samurais and Zen Buddhism.

Last but not least I'm trying to be aware of finiteness in all things. Let's imagine for a second, we had just 4400 more hours (six months) to live. You're right, we both will probably live for a long time, but these thoughts help me focus.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I decided to see Japan and other places in 2011 and I'll be eventually making use of CS. So I feel the urge to give something back now, while I still have an apartment to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just starting out. Loved the concept from the start, but wasn't participating until now. Altough I'm a pretty introvert guy I'm really looking forward to learning new things and connecting with interesting people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will never forget the morning of June 4th, 2010. My very first marathon on the classic route from Marathón to Athen, Greece. I was on my own, no event, no water stations, no cheering crowd, no friends, nothing. Just a quiet uphill road in a foreign country at 5:00 AM and my will to get it done. Several times I almost got hit by cars while I had to run on the road with no pavements. I'll never forget how I reached the beautiful Panathinaiko Stadium and finished the 42k in just 3:15h. Unbelievable.
