ABOUT ME

I am a 22 year old person who enjoyed Erasmus in Krakow, Poland last year. Now I continue studying computer engineering in my hometown Istanbul. I'm in love with music. I really like meeting new people. I like getting to know different cultures and I love the feeling that after some time you realise we are all the same. So right now I'm pretty excited even knowing that I will meet new and nice people from here.

What I enjoy the most is drinking and chatting with friends or the people I just met, getting to know them better by drinking and laughing. What I enjoy is going to a walk in the city for hours no matter how the weather is. Taking a hike, watching live concerts, seeing a movie from time to time, having a nice dinner with nice people and of course drinking by sharing the same table are my favourite things to do.

Lately, of course with the help of Erasmus I'm discovering how I love to travel. Even being on the road makes me happy. So I plan to backpack Europe as much as I can before I finish Erasmus and go back to my hometown.

That's pretty much all in a nutshell I guess

I just want live and taste all the emotions that I can. I don't believe our purpose in life is to be extremely happy, make a lot of money, become a CEO or something. I just believe that we should experience all the feelings in the world to the fullest. Happiness, sadness, even the bad feelings sometimes.

Interests

Music. Playing the guitar since 2008 and listening to music since I know that I exist.

I'm mainly interested in biographical movies and books which are based on true events but surely I also enjoy some fictional books.

And with the help of Erasmus I'm currently discovering how much I love traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite bands and musicians are The Beatles, Jeff Buckley, The Smiths, Tim Buckley, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Foo Fighters, Placebo and the list goes on forever...

My favourite books are Just Kids, Elegance of the Hedgehog, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I also have a looong list of favourite movies. I mainly like biographical movies which are based on true events. If you are a fan I'm sure you are thinking of some movies right now. It's very hard to make a list but some of my favourites are 500 Days of Summer, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Once, Nowhere Boy, Across the Universe

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to exchange great travel experiences and stories. I would love to learn nice places to go in every city I visit. I can teach how to play the guitar in a basic level, some easy songs maybe :) or I can share more knowledge with someone who knows how to play the guitar. Or I would LOVE to learn any other musical instrument. Even in the most basic level.
