About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bring people together through common interests. Music, recreation and culture. This is one of my projects, running the PDX Farm Fiesta.

ABOUT ME

I love spontaneous trips. In my life, spontaneity and adventure go hand in hand, because why not? The people you meet and the places you go are worth the adventure.

I am an entrepreneur and a BIG fan of whitewater kayaking. If you end up couch crashing, you will hear something about kayaking, and probably be exposed to some high intensity, hair raising videos. I also have started a handful of businesses, and I am a concert organizer.

I have had a great experience with CS via a 6 month trip down the west coast. My first couch surfing friend met me for a bike ride on Balboa Island, and we are still friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Family, Friends and Strangers, you might as well start by treating everyone as family and see what happens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe that by default, we should believe strangers have a good heart. I believe in open arm hospitality, something that I have been lucky enough to experience in my own life.

If you are interested in surfing a couch, we have a great house in Kirkland, WA with a park behind. We have two friendly dogs, a ping pong table, a pool table, and some mountain views.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2010-2011 I went on a road trip through California. My goals were to learn to surf, avoid the winter and make enough money to return to the PNW. For 6 months I lived out of my car, surfed couches, surfed in Mexico and met an incredible community of people through CS.

Interests

Whitewater Kayaking, photography, rock climbing, pick up soccer games, frisbee, adventure, occasional sunrises, meeting new people, concerts, event organizing, entrepreneurship, small businesses, bike and brewery tours.

We have a great selection of breweries and vineyards that are bike accessible from my house. A great tour!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise while climbing Saint Helens.
Visited the Galapagos.
Spent two weeks dancing in Colombia.
Heard, saw and felt a Volcano explode in Ecuador.
Kayaked in the depths of the Pacific NW.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to go camping, adventuring and building / fixing things with whatever is around. Mcguiver? I love throwing a thousand things in chicken broth and making stew. I also have been teaching whitewater kayaking for more than 10 years.
