ABOUT ME

Have lived in a quite a few places. Melbourne, Australia was also home for 6 years.
I have been in New Zealand for 20 years now but like travelling as a wwoofer, here and overseas.
I was educated as a mathematician, but got into computers after leaving Uni.
Spent 5 years being a semi-professional artist -great fun !
Love astronomy - the southern sky is stunning - much darker than UK.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Really enjoy meeting people from other cultures - wish I could pick up languages instantly too. Not sure how many people come through the Wairarapa but it's a lovely place to visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All good. I've hosted some brilliant and amazing people and also stayed in Europe and America with the the best. It was a really positive and exciting opportunity to stay with couch surfers over there. I know I can improve what I do for visitors too.

Science fiction, science fact, magazines such as New Scientist, Sky & telescope, Nat Geographic. Lots of choices for music - the old rock stuff and also Celtic music esp. Irish diddley ! Love BIG Bang Theory - GO GUYS!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Going underground to see the particle accelerator projects at CERN. What fascinating and intelligent minds have come up with to get all that running.
Also experiencing 5 full days and nights of daylight above the Arctic Circle in Norway. Took me a few days to discover what nighttime was for again. That's 2 things!

Anyone who happens to touch the right chords within - this might change daily. Everyone has a story and I'm such a curious person I'm always keen to find out more.
Like to spend time cooking for and with friends and sharing the finished product ! Maybe my Italian heritage coming out. I'm probably just a pig actually ....New Zealand food is really bland by comparison with everywhere else. WHAT am I doing here...???? I can show you the stars through my telescope - it's brilliant here in the southern hemisphere.
